Resources for Families
These are some of the activities we offer families in relation to trainings, visits to the school and social gatherings.
Workshop for families
Twice a year -at the beginning of the school year and in the spring term- we offer families a workshop designed to communicate our pedagogical philosophy in a relaxed atmosphere where we can respond to any queries. The workshop takes place on a Saturday morning or evening. At least one member of the family must attend these two workshops on the year the children join the school. Grandparents and any other family members who have regular contact with your children can come too.
Meetings with the pedagogical team
Every week we invite one or two families to have a meeting with the pedagogical team to learn about their child's progress and exchange points of view.
As well as these regular meetings, we also offer the possibility of having an interview when any situation arises that requires the support of the school, or when the family wants to delve into an issue they may have concerns about.
Monthly Parents' Meeting
Every month we hold a Parent's Meeting where parents are informed about any relevant aspects of school life, and where they can ask questions, offer suggestions and ideas, and feel heard. The dates for this meeting are indicated on our school calendar.
Volunteering Day
Parents' help is greatly valued whenever any general maintenance support is needed. And it's always a treat to enjoy some snacks and drinks in good company after the work has been done!
Celebrations
On some special days, we will be inviting you to come to the school for a range of social activities, such as our Christmas party, Carnival, Spring celebrations, Canary Islands Day, etc.
External Workshops
Occasionally we will also be organizing workshops and talks in connection with child-rearing, education, non-violent communication, environmental awareness. etc.
Decision-making
If you would like to give us your opinion on matters related to the school, you can:
contact us on 622 875 721;
email us at info@kaleide.org;
talk with the pedagogical team or with any of the facilitators, or request a meeting with the directors;
include an item on the agenda for the Parents Meeting.
