We use Discord to communicate with families on a daily basis. You can also follow us on Facebook (@kaleideschool) and Instagram.
Being an authorized school, we are under the obligation to controlour students' attendace. But there is an even more important reason to do so, and that is the safety of your child. Every day, facilitators need to know what children are in school, or which ones are going to attend any of the organized outings.
If your child is unwell, please let us know as soon as you know that he or she is not going to come to school. We ask that you DO NOT bring your children if they have any of the following symptoms:
diarrhea
persistent mucus
vomiting
sore throat
skin rashes of unknown origin
lice
intestinal parasites
temperature above 37.5º C (or lower if you have other additional symptoms)
malaise accompanied by tiredness
measles (they should not go to school until 4 days after the appearance of the skin spots. In addition, measles is an urgently notifiable disease).
mumps (should stay home until 5 days after symptoms start)
chickenpox (they should not go to school until all the lesions are in the scab phase)
Streptococcus tonsillitis (these are bacterial tonsils, for which antibiotics are prescribed). Children can go back to school after 24 hours of antibiotics (just like scarlet fever, caused by the same bacteria)
gastroenteritis (they should not go to school until the symptoms disappear, usually 24 to 48 hours after the last abnormal bowel movement). In addition, it is recommended that they avoid swiming for 2 weeks.
impetigo (it is recommended to stay out of school until 48 hours after starting antibiotic treatment)
We believe that family vacations and trips are part of learning and one of the most positive experiences that we can give children. If you are planning to take trips during the school term that involve being absent from school, please let us know so we can take it into account.
It is essential that you notify the school using email or Discord (preferably the latter) whenever your children are going to be picked up by someone who is not their mum or dad.
Fees are collected by direct debit or transfer (in cash only in exceptional circumstances), at the latest, on the first day of each month. The non-payment of a fee implies the non-return of the deposit.
The non-payment of two installments supposes the loss of the desposit and of your child's place in Kaleide. If due to unforeseen circumstances you have difficulties paying the fee, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can find a solution. Punctuality in the payment of fees is essential so that we can pay the salaries of the pedagogical team and all monthly expenses (social security, management, civil liability insurance, building insurance, materials, water, electricity, and a long etcetera).
